
Program Associate
Martinna-Noelle Parham joined Waterkeepers Chesapeake in 2025 as the Program Associate. Martinna brings a vibrant passion for environmental protection, community engagement, and science communication to her role as Program Associate at Waterkeepers Chesapeake. With a Master of Professional Science in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Hawaii Pacific University, she has spent years immersed in field research, public outreach, and digital storytelling.
Martinna-Noelle worked with the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, the ANGARI Foundation, and CREMA in Costa Rica, focusing on sea turtle nesting ecology, marine mammal studies, and coastal education outreach. She also supported conservation storytelling and public engagement through social media campaigns and scientific content development. Whether creating engaging science content for social media or collaborating with grassroots organizations, Martinna-Noelle is dedicated to making science accessible and actionable. She is especially committed to uplifting diverse voices in conservation and advocating for more inclusive spaces in environmental work.
Outside of work, Martinna-Noelle enjoys exploring museums, being outdoors, and creating art.
