Under the Trump administration the need to fight regulatory rollbacks at the federal level has reached a new level of urgency. Waterkeepers Chesapeake and our members have always responded to new clean water and environmental laws and regulations on the federal level. But now we have made this a high priority during this era of attacks on the Clean Water Act and other environmental laws and erosion of transparency and public participation. There has been a clear takeover by polluting industries of the agencies that are supposed to be protecting our health, environment and communities.
