Jamie Brunkow

2021 Vice-Chair; Board Member (2021 - 2022)

Jamie Brunkow is the James RIVERKEEPER® and Senior Advocacy Manager, leading a team of staff specialized in science, government affairs, and grassroots outreach. Jamie joined James River Association in 2012. His career has focused on addressing water quality issues, with previous roles at Friends of the Rappahannock leading restoration and advocacy initiatives, and as the Sassafras RIVERKEEPER® on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Jamie attended Virginia Tech, earning a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Master of Natural Resources. Most of all he helps inspire citizens to speak for the River, so that we have advocates across the commonwealth that treasure and protect the River for generations to come.
